We are working with more and more of our customers to convert their dry amenity & soap packaging from plastic wrapping to cardboard packaging. This is a quick and effective way to remove a significant amount of plastic from landfill, and at the same time maintaining the hotel standard and the product offering your guests are accustomed to.
Moving away from plastic to a paper-based packaging was an obvious choice, but, it was equally important that we ensured the new packaging was sustainably sourced.
Earlier this year, TBAC became a Trademark License Holder (FSC-N003061) of the Forest Stewardship Council®(FSC®) and together with our packaging suppliers we are in the process of converting the majority of our board, and paper packaging to FSC® certified material.
What is FSC?
Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) is an independent, non-governmental membership organisation that promotes the environmentally sound, socially beneficial, and economically prosperous management of the world’s forests.
The Forest Stewardship Council®(FSC®) is an amazing organisation and it is well worth finding out more about them. Visit their website www.fsc.org or watch this short video.
We are on track to convert 80% off all our paper packaging as well as 100% of our bamboo toothbrushes to FSC® certified material by the end of 2020, keep a look out for the FSC® logo on the back of our packaging.
We hope you love this change as much as we do,
Bruce Turner
